Valerie & Victor Wedding Day

August 12th 2017

We arrived at Victor’s house, where he and his groomsmen were getting ready. Victor’s family owned a fig tree, and at the time, was filled with fruit! Our assistant, as well as our videographer Riun are vegan. Alica could not have been more overjoyed to see this tree, and Victor’s father was kind enough to gift us with a bag of figs from their tree.

This was at 8:30am, and already, our photography and videography team was ecstatic due to an overload of figs. We are such a lucky Wedding Photography and Videography company. After getting some amazing groom’s getting ready footage, groomsmen pictures and getting ready wedding pose photos, we got on our way to the Chapel at Minrou Park in Richmond, where their beautiful ceremony was held.

Feeling those creative juices flowing while preparing the lenses, getting into the car on the way to the wedding location, and then carrying the camera equipment is one of the most exciting, nerve wracking, and energizing feelings to exist for us. It is a privilege to be able to create art along with being able to feel the happiness and excitement with the newly married couple.

With bunnies running around and flowers blooming outside in the sunlight of this tiny, beautiful and intimate wedding chapel, we agreed that we couldn’t have picked a more perfect wedding photo location if we had tried.

Victor, the groom at this wedding, is a very sweet, kind and more of an introverted, private soul in front of the camera than most, however, when he is with his bride, Valerie, his eyes light up and he looks at her like she was a starry sky, making it very easy to capture some beautiful moments. Their unconditional love must have been taken directly out of a picture perfect romantic film. It is most definitely is the kind we read about in novels. These moments make wedding photography, videography, and simply capturing any special moments feel absolutely effortless.

The beautiful bride, Valerie, was sweet, funny, and very easy to work with. Really, the perfect bride. Their wedding vows during their ceremony were so incredibly beautiful. One of the most intimate, perfect weddings we had seen in a while.

The wedding reception was held in the amazing Gingeri in the Lansdowne Centre. As a photography and videography team, we are usually prepared with as minimal “stuff” as we can (such as camera equipment, food, camera lenses). As photographers and videographers do absolutely everything we can to have as little as possible to carry. However, it is not always that simple. Generally, photographers, especially in the form of a larger group, do need lots of equipment. As minimalistic as we try to be, there is only so much we can do to try to diminish the size of a tripod. However, when the wedding venue we arrive at has a safe place for us to put our “stash” and it is also comfortable enough for us, we are most happy. Usually, we strategically plan ahead as there is not much we can do We must say how mindblown we were at how vendor friendly this area was. It was perfectly wedding vendor friendly. We had significant amounts of room to store our camera equipment, charge our batteries, set up a laptop so we could offload some footage, and to comfortably be able to switch between lenses without worrying about being in anyone’s way.   Gingeri Chinese Cuisine is, as the name states, a very traditional Chinese restaurant. The wedding guests seemed very satisfied with their food! Gingeri carries many delicious, however non-vegan, and non-vegetarian dishes. Although everyone seemed to be enjoying the food, two members of our photography and videography team was vegan, and one vegetarian. Of course, this is okay, because do not expect to ever eat at the weddings, we are there to photograph and capture special moments, and we plan ahead and usually bring snacks! However for how much meat was on the menu, this amazing restaurant went completely out of their way for the three of us, and were kind enough to make us a delicious vegan dish and rice. I would like to point out how extremely surprised and excited this made our photography and videography team.   The wedding dance was, as usual, very energetic, however for such a calm, collected, and reserved group of wedding guests, they sure had a lot of energy! Every guest at this lovely wedding seemed to have the absolute time of their life! We love capturing wedding moments such as these, when they go from intimate and romantic, to energetic and passionate! Beautiful wedding. Beautiful couple. We thank this amazing restaurant for feeding us when they really did not have to, and a huge congratulations to this beautiful married couple. We wish you the most amazing of days as a now married couple!
